add 2 quarts (1.9 liter) of oil. Check the oil level on the dipstick before adding more. Bring the level up into the safe range but do not exceed the full mark. Select oil weight and type according to outside
temperature.
Use correct oil for season as outlined on page 28.
AIR SCREEN
Clean rotating flywheel air screen (C) figure 18 frequently. A dirty air screen and/or engine will cause the engine to overheat and damage the
engine.
COOLING FINS
Check and clean cooling fins at least every 30 operating hours or sooner under extreme dust and dirt conditions. Remove any dust, dirt or oil which may have
accumulated.
CAUTION
PLUGGED OR CLOGGED COOLING FINS CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING AND ENGINE DAMAGE.
To clean the cooling fins, proceed as
follows:
1. Release 1/4 turn fasteners (D) and loosen screws (E), then remove side panels, figure 19.
